Prof. Dr. Mashooda Hassan is affiliated with the Department of Chemistry, Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, Pakistan. She did PhD from Germany in 1968 and a Diploma in Chemistry from Frankfurt, Germany in 1966. She also did Post-doc from Germany in 1973. She has been awarded Academy of Sciences Silver Jubilee Gold Medal (1978), South Asia Publications (SAARC) Star Women of the Year Award (1994), UNESCO “Scientist Role Model” for Girl Students of South Asia (1988), Presidential Izaz-i-Kamal (1995) and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (1999). She was elected as Fellow of PAS in 2011.
