Prof. Dr. Rumina Hassan is serving at the Department of Pathology and Microbiology, Aga Khan University, Karachi as a Consultant. She did her MBBS from University College Hospital, University of London and PhD from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, UK in Immunology. She is also an MSc, MRC (Path) and FRC (Path) UK. Her field of specialization is tuberculosis and antimicrobial resistance. Since June 2005 to date, she is Honorary Professor, Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. She has also been awarded SultanaliKamruddinJessani Chair Department of Pathology & Microbiology Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan. She has 66 peer-reviewed publications on her name in reputed International journals. She was elected as PAS Fellow in 2011.
