Dr. Shaheen Nasim Khan is Professor at the Center of Excellence in Molecular Biology, Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan. She did her PhD in Molecular Biology from University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2000. She has significant contribution in the fields of beta thalassemia, hereditary hearing and vision impairment, and stem cell and regenerative medicine. She has received numerous awards including Civil award "Pride of Performance" (2007), Presidential award "Izaz-e-Kamal" (2004), Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah Gold Medal award (2004) and First Prize for Scientific data recording at CEMB (1997). Dr. Khan has more than 90 peer reviewed publications under her name with a cumulative impact factor of above 400.
